Survival Bloc is a BIPOC-led network of leaders, movement organizations, and grassroots groups building power and community alternatives to survive the climate crisis. Together, we create the movement infrastructure to organize survival programs, provide organizer trainings and resilience skill-shares, and empower frontline communities to take action against the fossil fuel industry. Anti-Colonial by Nature supported by stewarding the Survival Bloc team through a narrative strategy session to develop a visual brand and story for their website. ACBN designed the website, illustrated the logo, and designed the “How to Build a Survival Program” guidebook that Survival Bloc released in the spring of 2025.

About the logo.
Inspired by the WWII era allied forces badge the Survival Bloc logo represent a “Rainbow in the Dark”. In place of the flaming crusade sword is a sprouting seedling symbolizing that the most revolutionary growth occurs in the dark. The rainbow above symbolizes a blessing and a protection that shields and nourishes all who are below it. The light blue sky is nostalgic of the Black Panther Party powder blue, a hommage to our movement elders who have demonstrated the potency of organized power.
